This is no time to be leaving your data and 100% of your backups stored on military targets. And make no mistake – every cloud service provider is a military target.

The Outlook mobile app for Android doesn't provide any way to block an individual email address or a domain. You can mark an email as junk all you want, but Microsoft will still deliver email from that sender day after day. If you know of a way to block in the Outlook mobile app, please tell me.

For me, LinkedIn is a serious marketing platform. I get consulting gigs by being active on there.

This guy sent me a connection request on LinkedIn, which I accepted. He sent me this DM, which starts with praise, but then went bizarre.
When "Don't let me down" is his first interaction with a complete stranger, he's trying to define the nature of the relationship.
If I ignored it, he'd assume I accepted his definition.
I didn't ignore it.

In our house we have good cellular Internet and if the phones lose Wi-Fi they automatically failover to cellular, so it wouldn't work here.

After dinner tonight, I started walking toward my home office. A lot of the remote work I do for my clients has to be done after their normal business hours. I said to my wife, “I’m going to go do a firmware update on a firewall.”
She said, “Have fun.”

I wonder if they sense weather patterns at great distances, or if they communicate that efficiently and pass the news along. I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that they have far more communications ability, and connectedness, than we yet realize.

The crows in the trees behind us are having a vigorous debate. It’s been going on for a few minutes now, and they show no signs of being ready to bring it to a vote. Whatever is happening, there is big news in the local Crow Kingdom.

This may be a “Mechanical Turk” situation. Theoretically, I’m using a WordPress AI instance to create a new website. It’s supposed to generate three options for me to evaluate. I gave it the description – it said, “the more detailed, the better” – and it’s been running for over 30 minutes now. You know what I think? I think there are three low-paid web developers somewhere in the world busy developing their ideas of what this website might look like. I can’t imagine an AI taking this long.

In tonight’s CBS News segment called “Eye On America,” I learned about a new twist in online romance scams. The scammers in Ghana are hiring live women for in-person meetings with the male victim! This takes the scam to a whole new level. In the story CBS covered, the American male met the female con artist in Ghana. She was from Australia. The Ghanaian man running the scam was their taxi driver. The male victim invested $700,000 in a non-existent gold mine.
