If you make occasional online purchases from a retailer (as opposed to scheduled monthly recurring payments), don't check the box to allow them to save your credit card information. It's less convenient, but more secure, to enter your CC information for every single purchase.

@paxterrarum it's a number assigned to the vendor so no two are repeated. You can also designate the number be used once.
@paxterrarum I can manage my virtual numbers including setting the expiration. The numbers aren't keyed in by me but by the bank through an extension.
@SaltyVeruca @paxterrarum yep, been doing this for years now. I also use a mail forwarder and Bitwarden. Never the same email or password twice.
