Looking for those in the #ttrpg space, especially if you're a #Pathfinder1e player or GM. Also looking for #worldbuilding participants.
@tsluikart Awesome! I primarily work in a #ttrpg setting. Standard D&D and Pathfinder stuff.
@paxsequoia I've always thought that makes for an interesting question, actually: What is a 'standard' D&D setting? I imagine most would say the Forgotten Realms or older gamers might say Greyhawk.- but pinning down that answer by telling them they can't refer to an existing WotC setting always yields fascinating answers.
@tsluikart I love the question! For me, a "standard" setting is high-fantasy, magic is present, and the species (races) we've come to expect are present, even if they're subverted from their stereotypes.
@paxsequoia I think one of the big gaps for most people is 'can you buy magic items in a shop or not?' lol
@tsluikart That's a good point. Most of my settlements don't have magic items in shops, but someone in town (or in the next town over) can make that thing. Just not kept in stock usually. If they sell it, the merchant takes it to the big city later this year to sell it off for a good profit.
@paxsequoia #ttrpg, #worldbuilding welcome.
I have not played pathfinder in any iteration. I hear it's good; have not found a troupe that plays it.
@GreenPaladin It's very fun. It's an offshoot of 3.x, with a high-degree of customization. I'm actually gearing up to start recording an Actual Play of one of the Adventure Paths.
@paxsequoia @tsluikart always down for worldbuilding chat :D
@paxsequoia Always up for a chat about #worldbuilding.
