Trump Jr., speaking on his podcast this week, said they discussed opening the briefing room to more independent journalists and social media influencers.

I think it would do nothing but good for the mainstream media to get off the access gravy train. If they were barred from White House briefings, they might actually send some reporters around to gather real news.

@DavidSalo I can see some good. However, I would like to know what is going on in the White House from trusted sources, rather than social media influencers. Perhaps the independent journalist will satisfy that need to know, but I like news from several reliable sources so I can come to my own conclusions.
