Huge chunks of hail pelted parts of Kansas and Missouri on Wednesday night during a severe thunderstorm. The baseball-sized ice brought traffic to a standstill on Interstate Highway 70, prompting some drivers to take cover under a bridge.

I was driving through one of those western states - maybe South Dakota, when a huge hailstorm hit. Left some shallow dents in the roof of my car.

As luck would have it, our motel room was on the top floor of a building with a metal roof. So we got to experience the storm even longer.

As dramatic as it was, I don't think it got as large as baseballs. However, I wasn't outside measuring, either!
