Can't believe it is almost April fool's day and Twitter is still alive. I quickly looked for other sites as backups. What I discovered is they each offer unique perspectives that add to the Social Media experience. Instant responses, thoughtful responses that inform and amuse you. It was when Muskrat was announced to be the new owner. That didn't actually happen for a while afterwards, but it was enough for me.
