In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday (January 15), especially in light of recent events, here is part of a speech:

'In a 2016 interview with CBS, former Attorney General Eric Holder cautioned that โthe arc bends toward justice, but it only bends toward justice because people pull it towards justice. It doesnโt happen on its own."' (source: https://www.huffpost.com/entry/opinion-smith-obama-king_n_5a5903e0e4b04f3c55a252a4)
Speculation on what MLK might have said today (January 14, 2021):

Joan is my favorite female singer. I discovered her in the folk era of the early 60s. Kinda wish she & Mr. Zimmerman had stayed together, but alas, diamonds & rust.
Two other great socially-conscious public people that I've noticed have birthdays in January are Joan Baez and Iris DeMent, the former having marched with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr..
