has anyone heard of this "Brave browser" before?

"Brave is fighting to keep the Internet free and accessible to everyone, forever. By reimagining the broken surveillance economy, we’ve built a model that incentivizes high-quality content over profit. Brave rewards you to browse while also offering up a noticeably faster, safer, and more enjoyable experience than Google Chrome. Because you shouldn’t have to sacrifice your privacy to surf the web."

@naikarrah I use Brave for my banking right now. Very secure. Started using it for my game alt accounts. It's a good one.

@meGodess
thank you!
i've never heard anything about 'Brave' before and was researching something else entirely unrelated at the time. i've never, ever used Chrome because i never Google-*anything*, not android, Chrome..only watch youtube. i don't particularly like Opera, and Firefox changed too dramatically when it released it's fully W10 version. just would like good browser for my kid to use safely without all the bs attached & that's NOT selling our souls on the sly...

@naikarrah

It scrubs ads from sites and replaces it with its own. It can make some sites impossible to use. And there is no way to just get rid of ads.

I used it for a bit then went back to firefox
