Thing 1: Republicans show up to vote Republican every single time, no matter how straight-up evil their candidate might be. They've been doing it for decades.
Thing 2: Democrats have no such loyalty. We might show up, if we feel like it.
Thing 3: It seems inevitable that anyone with a brain would #VoteBlue to stop 
from winning, but that a) creates a false sense of security while b) ignoring Thing 2.
Thing 4: The left excels at self-sabotage. We f*ck ourselves every time.
Best case: This time is different, but it's far too early to tell.
I'm gonna go ahead and behave as if is going to win. #politics
The energy for sure feels different this time!
Think about the energy at the end of July 2016 though and compare it to now.
I believe that at this point a lot more people are excited and motivated. Or so it seems to me.
At this point we've got slightly more than three months and I honestly feel like we can maintain this forward motion.

Let's just say that after yesterday's announcement, I'm no longer anywhere near as pessimistic regarding the outcome of the upcoming election.
It's like everyone found their fire all at once!
