@see_the_sus Nope. Machine doesn't need to be replaced. It is a CYA thing for the medical that you got it from. YES wash the hoses - just warm soapy water, rinse well and let dry. Or replace the tubing if you wish. Ck with your doc!
@see_the_sus y good plan to have one ( a pulmonologist) and not need him or her, rather than to need one and not have one... What state are you in? (sorry if I missed that or if I'm too nosey!)
Nah, I'm an open book for the most part. 😁
I live in NM. I've got fairly decent specialist doc's, but I am thinking of looking for a new primary. I'm just not feeling a lot of compassion nor understanding from her about all the things in my life that are stumbling blocks right now to getting me healthier. All she keeps saying is, "Watch your diet and get more exercise." Gee, no shit? Really? Well, I'll be sure to tell my body to stop having chronic pain and be mentally ill!"
@see_the_sus well I'd sure agree. She isn't resonating and I'd keep looking til you find one with whom you do! Best wishes with that - it took me four years to find a gal and my 1st appy w/ her is in October! I'm in Oregon, and I know it sounds goofy, but I named my daughter after a pulmonologist that I used to work with. Feel better - do nice soaky baths or meditation help at all with the chronic pain? Or, nevermind - non of my biz. Just wishing you well.
Unfortunately, I can't take baths. At least not in a regular bathtub. I have lymphedema in my legs and it's caused my knees to not bend fully, and so getting in and out of a tub is a physical impossibility.
Now, my mom has one of those walk-in tubs w/ jets that I occasionally use but the times I need it most are at night, like right now, and I'm not getting in my car to drive over there and (more than likely) get into some sort of argument with her.
@see_the_sus Oi! so sorry I know that is rough! Any chance you can get one of those walk in tubs at some point!?? yep, the stress of poss argument doesn't help either! Sending you good vibes/ healing frequencies to you!
I hope that's not too la- la for you.. it's what I do. 💚💚💚✨✨✨🫂🙌✨✨✨
Nah, I rent.
@see_the_sus dang, I was hoping and also just thinking out loud!
I’m hoping to start going to a water aerobics class again, which has always helped. I’m just trying to work out fitting the cost in.
@see_the_sus Great idea!
@see_the_sus hugs! 🫂🫂🫂
@see_the_sus hang in there! you'll get back to doing well as all the hustle and bustle settles! You are stronger than you know!
@mims
I was thinking that I probably should get a referral to a pulmonologist now that I'm in a new state. The last time I had to see one was the summer of 2020 and I was living elsewhere then.
The urgent care doc last week told me to get back on my asthma meds & put in a one-month prescription.
I'm just not really keen on adding yet one more specialist to my ever-growing list. 😞 I was doing soooo very well up until last week.
