Tonight celebrate 100 years as United.

Just a wee reminder that, once upon a time, we were serious giantkillers.

Here, March ‘87–prior to beating Barcelona 2-1 in the Nou Camp (again)—manager Jim McLean discusses prematch tactics with Alex Ferguson & Sir Bobby Charlton.

As a wee bit of added info. This is the last photo of Dundee Hibernian in season 1923-24, before changing their name to Dundee United.

United will, for one match only, wear a special heritage kit, which will then be raffled off for charity.

My club.

The Singing Children of Africa were at Tannadice today for the Dundee United v Queens Park match.

What lovely sounds from some very talented kids

What kind of fckng lunatic am I?

Just picked up my season ticket

🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡

Have to say, the new Dundee United home kit for 23-24 is better than I expected.

I must be fckng crazy…

Just renewed my season ticket

Don’t know what league we’ll be in or who our manager will be, but, hey, what the hell. What else am I gonna do on a Saturday ?

22-23

Dundee United 1-3 Aberdeen

After a week that saw the departure of Manager Liam Fox & Sporting Director Tony Aghar, new Manager Jim Goodwin watched all his side’s good work undone by three brutal errors by captain Ryan Edwards.

The cost of poor recruitment in the summer, and no recruitment in January is coming home to roost.

22-23

Ross County 4-0 Dundee United

In a season of ridiculous lows, today was the lowest of them all.

Having listened to our American owner completely disregard the concerns of fans, his arrogance has come back to bite him on the arse.

Been watching United for over 50 years, and this was the most gutless, effortless display of unprofessionalism I think I’ve ever seen.

Relegation almost certainly on the cards, despite 12 games to go.

22-23

Dundee United 1-2 St Johnstone

On a day when many of our 1983 Champions were celebrating the 40th anniversary, our current crop of ‘heroes’ proved yet again what frauds they are.

I cannot believe Australia gave Goalkeeper (he insists he is) Mark Birrighiti an international cap. He is without doubt the worst I have ever seen in over 50 years of supporting United.

Legends Day at Tannadice

1. Celebrate the league winners of ‘83

2. Suffer through the relegation candidates of ‘23

Time for some players to find their balls

22-23

Kilmarnock 1-0 Dundee United

To the surprise of no one, when you don’t recruit and strengthen your team you are going to lose.

Rock bottom of the league. Away to Hearts on Saturday. This shit show of a season really cannot get any worse.

22-23

Dundee United 0-2 Celtic

A fairly routine win for the champions, marred yet again by the sectarian singing of their supporters.

For anyone who doesn’t know; Celtic fans cling to their Irish association by belting out pro IRA songs; Rangers zombie fans love their anti-Catholic songbook.

Nothing will ever be done about it.

22-23

Hibernian 2-2 Dundee United

A last minute equaliser denied United a deserved win. A point gained away from home lifts them another place up the table.

22-23

Dundee United 0-2 The Rangers*

Two quick 2nd Half goals cost United dearly. For the 2nd consecutive game, Rangers defender Conor Goldson escapes a VAR penalty decision for handball. It’s almost, as we all feared, as if the rules were written just for them.

The usual anti-Catholic song repertoire was in full flow, as was the ridiculous renderings of Rule Britannia & God Save The King.

22-23

St Johnstone 0-1 Dundee United

First league away win of the season. Back to back wins for first time since October. Great start to 2023.

🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡

🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡

22-23

Dundee United 3-0 Ross County

A battling performance sees United leapfrog the visitors, leaving them bottom of the league going into the new year.

🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡

🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡

22-23

Dundee United 2-2 Hearts

A day when a stonewall penalty for United was rescinded due to an injury to the keeper who committed the foul. Also a day when, four minutes into time added on, Hearts were awarded an equalising penalty for their striker falling over his own feet.

🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡

22-23

Dundee United 4-0 Kilmarnock

An unexpectedly one sided match sees United climb above Killie. Four superb goals, and a head scratcher as to why they can’t play like this more consistently.
