A federal judge ordered the release of migrant children held in U.S. family detention facilities, citing the severity of the pandemic.
The order to release the children by July 17 came after plaintiffs in a long-running case reported that some of them had tested positive for the virus. It applies to children who have been held for more than 20 days in the detention centers run by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, two in Texas and one in Pennsylvania.

I told my friends and relatives that Summer was going to be bad for them for COVID infections. I look at COVID as as much an engineering problem as an infectious disease problem. Winter confines northerners in indoor poorly filtered spaces. In the Summer, southerners and westerners are driven indoors due to the heat. Packed restuarants and bars have poor ventilation and filtration - the virus will circulate till the distribution of virus is uniform.

Simulation of a potassium ion channel inactivation and conduction. Potassium ion channels are crucial proteins of the membranes of excitable cells like neurons or cardiac cells. They open and close based on stimuli allowing for the conduction of ions (in essence electric impulse) through the membrane. Their malfunction is related to diseases such as cardiac arrhythmias or epilepsy.
