AOC doubles-down on the stupid misuse of basic terms, while claiming that current efforts at reform are happening because of some activist influencers' poor choice of words. 🤦♂️
1. A stupid word choice has no bearing on the pressure for police to reform. People in the streets does.
2. When Donald Trump can repeat what you're saying verbatim and *effectively* use it against you, then you have a messaging problem.
He doesn't even have to twist it. All he has to do is repeat it.
It's making me irrationally irked that so many people are being so stubbornly irrational about this.
Context: Nothing happens without consensus. We aren't aiming to use the right language to soften the goal. We NEED to use the right language so that we can reach the consensus we need. Being inflammatory has the Exact. Opposite. Effect.
