That's a boot interface for several different operating systems. Looks like they're running on "virtual machines," meaning they run inside a program that makes them think they're running on a regular computer all by themselves. I might be drooling. ๐Ÿ˜‹ ๐Ÿ˜‚

@p3R1n01D @Jorro I have a virtual machine that runs on a virtual network interface inside a FreeBSD jail on a mac. On this jail runs a website that is anonymously hosted on the internet (on occasions for demos and stuff) I still get exited most days doing this stuff.

That is totally awesome! I'm hoping to get back to real computer land this winter, been too long.

You might know the solution or clues to a problem I ran into last spring. Family crisis came up and I had to wait until now.

I reinstalled Win 11 on my laptop, and was setting up a multiboot with Linux Mint, when something went wrong and I can't boot to USB device, but have no CD or floppy drive.

I think I need to flash my BIOS, can that be done from inside Win?

@matuzalem
And no big deal if that's too big a subject for right now. Thought I'd run it by you just in case. ๐Ÿ˜‰

@Jorro

@p3R1n01D @matuzalem Iโ€™m an ignorant of all that , that is why I asked.

@Jorro
It's an unusual problem, but I figure it can't hurt to put it out there and see.

macOS virtualizes nicely. Iโ€™ve an OS 9 for my ancient copy of Tropico and one for Sonoma (or Catalina?)โ€ฆ I rarely use it except for destructive testing.
