With only 14 days until the U.S. presidential election, I’m increasingly concerned that it won’t be a peaceful transition. Unless the fascist candidate decides to leave the country in their private plane, possibly heading to Eastern Europe, tensions are likely to escalate.

@gshevlin Sadly you are likely correct. Additionally, I don’t have faith in the federal government who is allowing a 33 times convicted felon to potentially be president again. It’s not a confidence booster that whatever may happen after the election will be correctly handled that’s for certain.
@MidnightRider Remember that in 2020 the attempted insurrection unfolded with Trump in charge of the DoJ and the White House. The Democrats control those institutions this time around, so any attempted Federal-level insurrection faces obstacles.
I am more concerned about state-level insurrections to try and prevent elector certification.
@gshevlin Then where are the Democrats shouting about what I typed about the felon? Are we a nation of laws or not because Trump, JD and Jesus and friends want to imprison women for going out of state for an abortion but not an already convicted felon.
I hope that Prez Joe has the resources ready to squash them. I'm sure he has been getting the plans together for months.
