@badger33 Oh I think he wanted to stay on the Supreme Court. But he's absolutely a swindler pandering to other stupid people. By all accounts he was exactly the same in law school: judgmental, inflexible, nuts, and a pervert.

Roy Moore is apparently still sending out emails to people begging for money for his "election integrity fund".

This is what happens when you get fired from 2 jobs in a row. LOL

@Zooter AT&T also backed the repeal. They called the repeal "open internet".

@emaz Yep, but not one choice in wireless phone service.

I think we should compile a list of telecom carriers and ISPs that were against the repeal and try to use them instead, where possible.

Just ditched Verizon as my wireless carrier because they supported the repeal of Net Neutrality. Signed up with ProjectFi by Google (I wanted the Pixel 2 phone anyway). Process was easy, and my bill will be cheaper. I hope more people follow suit in ditching these companies who put their profits over the will of the people.

@danstickler I'm not into sports so I have no idea who that is, but yeah not ancient history at all. If he were still alive, he wouldn't be much older than my parents.

This is an except of an interview with one of the men who murdered 14 year old Emmett Till, who was black, in 1955 because a white woman said he whistled at her (which she later admitted she'd lied about). Both murderers were acquitted.

After Roy Moore's humiliating defeat in Alabama, largely due to the high numbers of black voters who turned out to vote against him...the line I highlighted starts to read like poetic justice, doesn't it?

I hope they make a habit of it.

Would be a delicious irony if we lose Net Neutrality, the far right starts mocking the "triggered" liberals...and then all the telecom companies and ISPs throttle and/or ban all their hate sites.

I'd be willing to take one for the team if that would be the result.

@Enzoloren Yeah just wait until ISPs start censoring all their hate groups LOL

Maybe being a soulless corporate fuckboy is considered a disability...

@RockerNymph Yeah, but Pai is a blue check name so he gets special treatment.

(not sure what about that they thought was an attack or threat against a protected group, but okay)

Hee heh my rather strong feelings on the Net Neutrality matter got the best of me...

(still think he's a cunt, tho)

@wildnfree @suullus Sort of. In SF I used Sonic.net, they're an indie provider and they're great. But where I am now I don't have any options other than Comcast. =/

@Jim Impossible. I work from home half the time and I take distance courses at school. So do a lot of people.

@suullus @wildnfree Wouldn't help me, I live in Seattle. We're way to the left and our politicians are wildly against all this bs already. In swing and red states, absolutely.
