you gotta love the old AD&D modules where the ending was "the characters are likely to be driven insane, killed outright, or permanently trapped within the underground temple."

time to roll up new characters!

so hard to stay even when I see a change in the statuses of my applications. trying not to get too high or too low. but this roller coaster keeps on rolling.

Happy New Comics Day. Titans: Beast World and Batman/Superman: World's Finest for me. Titans is a beginning and an end, and Amanda Waller is still terrible. B/S: WF is fun and glad to see all the Mites. Go pick up both but read Titans first. You'll be glad you did.

restarted my running program this morning using the Jeff Galloway method, which is good because 1) it makes me ease into it instead of burning myself up and 2) it resembles a hockey shift (1 min run/1 min walk). controlling what I can control.

I have this remarkable ability to summon tasty treats. I mentioned I never heard of or had brownie cookies or “Brookies.” Soon after, these appeared. I’m using my power for good obviously.

For the longest time, eggs got a bad rap from the lower cholesterol people. But eggs are incredibly healthy these days and good for just about every meal – including snacks.

Today is full of potential, mystery, and wonder. Or a volcanic eruption. Not sure which yet. 🌋

DM: "There is a large boulder perched precariously above the party on the path."

Me: "Whelp. This is a TPK. Rocks fall, everyone dies. I mean, that's a D&D truism."

today marks 4 complete weeks of exercise (weights or stretching) plus returning to ice hockey/outdoor walking. I've lost 3.9 pounds and feeling better about my physical form. I have goals, and I know the road is paved with potholes, but I can and will control this. no matter the outcome.

Next Seattle ☕️ adventure. Cafe Allegro has been tucked away in an alley near UDub since 1975. Reminds me of Fells Point in Baltimore. Full marks on the latte.

the hits keep coming. I believe my Xbox Series X may be on its last legs. crashes and reboots fairly regularly now. disappointing. four years old doesn't seem like it should be on its death bed.

one of the many problems with staying up until 2 a.m. (insomnia) is I read all of the next day's online comics during that time. and now, I have nothing to read. completely throws off the day.

I like finding out about regional odd food quirks, like slaw on a hot dog in West Virginia. I'm beginning to believe that Seattle's quirk is dipping French fries in tartar sauce. tasty but peculiar. how did that start?

brain dead = me

example: forgot I blocked a shot in hockey last night that missed my thigh pad and got me right in the muscle. slapped same thigh today accidentally during a conversation. ow.

If you can get fresh vegetables, especially the corn when it is season, the flavors will absolutely pop, and you will actually need less seasoning. However, if it is the winter months, this salad will remind you of what spring and summer will have to offer.

The rust is knocked off. A goal and 3 assists. I just have to keep it going next week. 🏒

The Sign of the Silver Sword is known for its hot river crab bites. But a wandering wizard added his own seasoning from The Old Bay, and the locals were amazed at the result.
