Extra Life Tabletop Weekend raised $126,795 for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals across the U.S. and Canada. But the need continues. Come and help me reach my goal during my 14th year of involvement with Extra Life. You know you want to help, right?
This chipotle shrimp taco recipe is quick and easy and likely uses ingredients you have in your kitchen already. Didn’t thaw the frozen shrimp? Drop them in cold water and they will soften right up in no time at all. Plus the chipotles bring just a bit of heat to the party. And who doesn’t like a taco party? #larryskitchen
Nestled at the foot of Queen Anne Hill is the next #SeattleCafePassport stop. Uptown Expresso has the vibe of a busy shop but very cozy for people watching. ☕️
When the temperatures drop 20 degrees due to a storm, beef stew is the perfect meal. Yeah, I was planning it anyway, but just roll with it. #larryskitchen
I saw this on an episode of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, and thought it sounded amazing. Since there was no chance I was going to Vermont, the challenge was set forth to create it at home. The result was something savory, sweet, cheesy, and crunchy. #larryskitchen
Seafood is one of those categories of food where it can go so right or so wrong. But this simple, yet delicious, recipe is incredibly easy, but it does require your attention. Baked fish of any kind can be very sensitive to heat and overcook in a heartbeat. You won’t let that happen, will you? #larryskitchen
Polenta is grits’ fancy relative. This version combines the creaminess of the corn grits with the nutty, salty flavor of Parmigiano. While it makes for a great side dish for any meal, the leftovers can be fried and served with a marinara sauce for an Italian dinner. #larryskitchen
Pork can be a tricky meat to cook. Today’s pork is so lean and can dry out quickly if you don’t give them some help. Pounding down the thickness means quicker cook times, and a crunchy coating helps keep the chop stay moist. #larryskitchen
Pasta goes so well with so many things. Different meats and vegetables get highlighted and given depth with the starchy goodness. And since pasta comes in so many shapes and sizes, you can customize nearly every meal to individual tastes. #larryskitchen

As a kid, my grandmother would always have tamales whenever I would visit. Granted, her tamales came from a can, but I loved peeling away the paper and eating them – as many I could – without knowing how they were truly made. These days, I prefer my tamales in pie form. Just as delicious without the corn husks. #larryskitchen
Next #SeattleCafePassport destination is in West Seattle. C&P Coffee Company sits inside a renovated home and is quite charming. Smooth latte. ☕️
