@Heavymetalmotherindisguise yep! We've never been to Tickfaw but everything we've heard sounds nice.

Just booked a campsite for next weekend for a trial run with the camper! We'll be going to Tickfaw State Park. Not bringing the pup this time, but we will next time <3

My husband is going to pick up our new camper on Monday! Neither of us has ever had one before. I’m so psyched.

You can distinguish an alligator from a crocodile by paying attention to whether the animal sees you later or in a while.😂

@anniecoughlin in every relationship there is one person who learned how to load a dishwasher so that everything gets clean, and one person whose parents never made them do it as children.

I pity the people who are so detached from reality that they believe (for example) that anyone in America wants to steal children from their parents and cut off their body parts (I mean, excepting deranged serial killers I guess?) It must be terrifying to live like that.

I have a real problem with turning off my tea timer and then not removing the tea bag which the timer was for.

May or may not have spent like $50 on pro special effects makeup for my face and hand paint to go with my Viking völva costume. Still debating the design of my headdress which will definitely have antlers but may also have a fake fox pelt. I love costuming 💕

Today’s uninvited earworm is “Day After Day” by Badfinger (incidentally a top contender for the dumbest band name award).

Reminder that when someone INTENTIONALLY redirects attention to the bad behavior of another while doing the same bad thing themselves, that is not projection. It's deflection.

The night before last I went to bed at 5:30pm and got up at 5am. Last night I managed to stay up until 8:30, but this morning I woke up at 5 again. Thanks, jet lag!

Both parents have tentatively agreed to immigrate to Spain with us in 14 years ❤️ Has to be 14 years because that's the first time my husband and I will both be able to retire early from our current careers. One or both of us will go back to school at that point and move on a student visa, and my parents will apply for retirement visas. I'd like to be a translator maybe; I have a degree in linguistics already.

Here’s a collection of food photos from my trip to Europe, just because

I don’t understand why airlines are allowed to overbook flights and put random people on standby against their will. I booked our flights SIX MONTHS AGO and I’m on standby but my husband has a confirmed seat. Why is that a thing they can do?

After about 10 hours of brainstorming I think I have a workable 15-year plan to immigrate to Spain 💕

@Nikto the problem is almost anywhere in Europe with a decent standard of living would be fine by me so it’s hard to figure out what path to take. I just want to be able to see my sister more often. I have a long time left before retirement so it’s most likely going to involve a work visa.

@TheresaVermont good advice! I have about 30 years left until I can retire so I have plenty of time to adjust course and move overseas before then.
