Polite suggestion - do a search into wrapping your brisket in butcher's paper for the last 1/3 of the cooking time. You'll get a superior product without lines in your bark, and with the possibility of the ever-desired "sugar cookies" forming in the crust. It's seriously worth the time, effort, and investment. @MaverickCtzn I had a bike crash back in 1984. One of those caught on my right foot and tore a hole in the top of it, all the way down to the tendons. I had to have 6 stitches below the skin and 14 on top to close the wound. Nasty rat trap things, they are.
@Tarpeachy Stouffers sells the stuff in a microwaveable bag - my wife and I love it. We stock up on it.

Some good medical news for a change. The edema / swelling in my legs is apparently under control enough just with wearing compression stockings that I no longer need to go to regular checkup appointments with my Wound Care doctor. He cleared me at today's appointment - told me I only had to come back "as needed." Good news indeed. Now I can concentrate on getting a pre-op appointment for my torn right shoulder rotator cuff.

@leejackson Don't I know it. I'v been wearing glasses since I was 8 years and for about 20 years when each upgrade in glasses was aa major one, I'd have to be SO careful walking the road in that initial period after leaving the eye doctor - especially stepping high.. lol

Takes about two weeks to adjust if you don’t keep putting the old glasses back on. Then it’s longer.
I got new glasses today. Big difference between the old and the new prescription - a +1.00 difference in each eye! As a result, I'm having some trouble adjusting to the new pair. You should have seen me try to walk after leaving the glasses store - it was probably hilarious to everyone but me. 😜
