Upon triple checking, I've learned that Amazon mislabeled the box in which my "tonic water" came. Instead of Sicilian Lemon, they sent me Sparkling Lemon - in essence, lemonade, sans quinine.
I called for and received a refund from Amazon, then placed another order for the Sicilian Lemon Tonic Water. Here's hoping they send the right stuff this time.
Chasing down the rice with a glass of tea & tonic, although this time it's Fever-Tree Sicilian Lemon tonic.

I had to double-check that there was actual tonic water in the bottle and not just lemon juice. The lemon overpowers the quinine and renders its bitterness undetectable.
Very tasty, nonetheless.
Trying another home cure for the nasal / chest trouble. Just polished off a bowl of hot leftover steamed rice with butter, plus some crowberry syrup for sweetness (traditional would be honey). Hoping it'll break up the phlegm.
It also makes for a tasty late night snack.
Got my Fever-Tree tonic water in today. Two cases of elderflower flavor and one of Sicilian lemon. Interested to see how the latter mixes with my tea.
For a reminder, I'm drinking it for muscle spasms & tremors in my left hand at my doctor's orders. So far, it has helped control them.
Fighting to overcome what feels like a sinus infection. Drinking Red Snail Black Tea from Teavivre. One of my favorites - smooth, no bitterness, just a good, luscious tea. Hoping it'll bust open my sinuses.
Just ordered $100+ of Fever-Tree tonic water from Amazon. Drinking the stuff on doctor's orders for muscle spasms and tremors in my left hand. Tasty, but ohmydearlord, it can get expensive.
Coffee (plus my shoebox full of prescription pills) seems to have calmed down my throat a bit. Huzzah. Let's see if I can function now.
Sacred Grounds Nikiti Blend in the cup today, tempered by Coffee Tamer in a nod to whatever illness is eating my head. Hoping the coffee will help my throat.
I had heat exhaustion hit me once when I was in marching band back in 7th grade. Not a fun experience. Dizziness, nausea, slight euphoria (think nitrogen narcosis). Mine passed quickly with rest, shade, and proper care.
Drinking some Crystal Light Tea with Lemon, mixed with a bottle of Fever-Tree Elderflower Tonic Water. Doctor's orders for left hand tremors/cramps. Hoping it will jump-start my brain as well today.
Then again, I am in the middle of a course of antibiotics (Augmentin), which never sit well with me. That could very well be what's causing my current state of bleh.
Ever get one of those "do not feel good - don't know why" days? That's what I've got today. Just feel horrid, no specific symptoms.
Had to take a rizatriptan today for a very nasty migraine. Thankfully, it's helped. The pain's not 100% gone, but at least I can function.
Anyone ever have problems with eye pain and light sensitivity the day after an eye exam? You know, the kind of exam where they dilate your eyes? Both my eyes hurt last night, and my right eye is still hurting this morning. I'd put some eye drops in it if I had any, but I don't know what kind of drops to put in - my eye's not red and it's not dilated. It just hurts, and white computer backgrounds don't help.
... and of course, right after my tea & tonic, the fingers of my left hand start twitching on their own. The quinine in the tonic can't start working fast enough, damn it.
First drink of the day is a tea & tonic. Gotta make sure the fingers on my left hand don't start trying to do the Safety Dance on their own.
Had another bad cramp in my left hand while out on the road with Mrs. Capt. - came home and got some more tonic water into me. The stuff seems to calm them down, but only as long as I take it a couple of times a day.
Coffee, tea, and tonic water duly imbibed. Drinking a bit more tea & tonic since my fingers are still doing a little dance - this time, Fever-Tree's Light Tonic Water mixed with my tea (first time I've tried that).
Tiger Nebula blend again today, but it's waiting until I finish a glass of doctor-prescribed tea and tonic water.
The tonic water is for muscle spasms in my left hand. My fingers like to move on their own. Naughty fingers. They're being treated with Fever-Tree tonic water (might as well use the good stuff).
Results official: no osteomyelitis! No foot surgery! Yay!
