Just now ordered four single boxes of light roast varietals from Fresh Roasted Coffee to test out which gives the best caffeine for the buck. They include Organic Ethiopian Sidamo (Fair Trade), Indian Monsoon Malabar, Congo Kivu, and Brazil Fazenda Santa Luzia (Direct Trade). I should receive them early next week, if not this week. Again, all are light roasts, and should contain oodles of caffeine. I'll let you know which gives the best taste for the buzz.

I am also interested in how you brew. Pour over, French press, other.
For maximum caffeine, especially in the lighter roasts, nothing beats cold brew. Give it a good 36 hours to soak.

@corlin @leejackson I flip flop. I love the convenience (if not the wastefulness) of my Keurig. I also love the luxury and ritual of using a manual grinder to grind beans roasted to perfection a few days beforehand, brewed with a pour-over and kettle. ☕

I too own a hand cranked coffee grinder, I like the ritual of it taking some time. Especially in the cold of winter, when I wake way before light, and can putter around in the morning.
