@Render in that article I notice it says the package sent is valued at $775m, I wonder if they're using this to artificially boost GDP with military weapons production.
I remember reading about how every year supposedly the USA builds 3,000 tanks and then dismantles them to artificially boost GDP, this sounds like a similar opportunity
@WeThePeople perhaps they had intel on the condition of the birds. Do we know if they're combat capable or rust buckets?
I remember when Canada bought some used submarines, they were literally garbage lol. It was a huge issue in the news and the govt got hated for it.
@Janet oh, it's by an artist.
I thought it was an avi with interchangeable modular gear. I'm not sure how I feel about that. Which metaverse engine is this catering to? You mentioned FB before but I believe they'll do everything in-house to avoid copyright lawsuits and other legal quagmire. I know Shiba is creating their own metaverse but I've only got a cursory understanding of it.
I've kinda pictured only one company will really prevail in this, coming out like "Summer Wars" or Ready Player 1
@Janet I'm not sure how it's a good deal tho...for $12.99 I can buy Black Desert Online with more avatar customize options. This type of thing is highly prevalent in gaming communities, putting a massive price tag on it just seems... pretentious. If Facebook dropped it I'd imagine $20 per avatar lol
@Janet what's the purpose there? Designing digital avatars? The $700+ price tag seemed kinda sketch ๐
@TheNightOwler Big Trouble in Little China
@th3j35t3r have you seen the final movie?
Does anyone have any tips for good, work from home career paths? Been doing the grocery gig for 16 years and feeling like I've hit my stress limit. I'm single dad with a daughter and I just don't see staying where I'm at in management, getting paid 30% above minimum wage after 16 years, to be a viable thing anymore. I went in straight out of highschool, but I'm great with numbers and have a head for technical details.
@St_Michel the boot drive is an older SSD (Force GT 120) and the games are installed on a RAID mirror drive set up of two 2TB drives synced up. Disk Management says they're healthy, and whenever there's a power outage they do a full volume resync.
Replaced power supply as my old one (Coolermaster Silent Pro Gold 1200w) was overheating and causing the system to fail.
Any computer efficiencados have an idea what the culprit is in my problem?
Older rig, Windows 7 64 bit, but runs generally well. i5-2500k, GTX 670. Recently replaced power supply.
Games started inconsistently running in literal "slow motion", as in frame rate was fine but it was like someone slowed down time. Uninstalled, reinstalled, played different games, same issue. Persisted until I reset the PC. Buddy of mine who does game programming says I should start backing my stuff up.
Happy #caturday here's the new kitten of the house, "Boomer" and my 8 year old little girl, "Corusca" I named her after Corusca gems used in lightsabers in legends Star Wars as she was born on May the 4th.
Puts a whole new meaning to Type C charger #catmemes

@Janet BC is beautiful, as our plates say lol
@NorthernInvader well, we want to take away their fully and semi automatic pitchforks for sure lol
Bolt actions and pump actions are acceptable
@Maude shouldn't mars be much smaller? Lol
@voltronic why not something metalic with a cushion?
Gamer! Canadian! Stupidly energetic!
Yes that's my cat Corusca, yes I gave her a Star Wars name since she was born on May the 4th.
