Is there any possibility that a few MAGA representatives in the house, be indicted? And if so go to trial, and lose. Would they then be removed from office? I know this could take many months. And in many cases not result in new elections, but with governors appointing new reps.

Could such a scenario, alter the balance of the 118th Congress?

House rules are byzantine.

@corlin Congress has broad authority to regulate itself and can kick out its own members without any particular process (e.g. impeachment is actually _impossible_ for House members). That said, it is rare and House leadership are loathe to do it (e.g. see how Marjorie Taylor was merely removed from committee assignments rather than expelled). They are generally conservative about essentially overturning an election. So, from my perspective, that is a no-go for changing House power.
