@shadow_queene Do you pay your electric, or is it paid by the apt complex? I'd tell the electric company there's a fire hazard they need to fix. If it's the complex, tell your mgmt co there's a fire hazard.

@shadow_queene I had that happen to me (condo) a few years ago and my next door neighbor last year when he was out of town - he lost everything in the frig, we figure it'd been out for days when he got back.

Call the electric company and then the landlord. The elec co will put locks on those main switch boxes or enclose them and give the apt complex the keys.

I think most NEW homes have insulated garages, but most of the places I've lived were built in the 50-80's, and did not. I'm in Missouri, and we do get all 4 seasons.

@scottyorange Around here, most garages are not insulated. The common wall to the house is, but the back and outer walls usually are not.
