@Beanc @redenigma I am old enough to remember when, when you bought sock yarn, a lot of times it came with a card with matching nylon thread. The sock yarn was always 100% wool.

@Beanc @redenigma I thought 15% would be okay too, and was disappointed that it was not :( It may also depend on the yarn. I don't think the cotton helped.

@redenigma @Beanc Also, please make sure there is at last 20% nylon in the yarn. I knit up a lovely pair of socks with Sockotta (Plymouth, 45% cotton/45% wool/15% nylon) and wore a hole in one at the ball of my right foot, which I TURN when I walk due to an ancient injury. First time wearing them.

I was gutted.
