i really wanted pizza for dinner, but everything even remotely close (within 25 minutes)closes at 8. by the time i'm done evening chores it's usually past 7 (except in winter) & since we don't ever eat before 8 anyway, i don't think to order early, & it's too late to order & go pick up pizza :p

@redenigma I've noticed the same trend recently at local pizza pick up places. Bake-it-yourself is really big here, but dammit, it is usually 8 pm before I start to think about dinner.

They used to stay open later - at least until 9.

@BlueStateBabe reminds me of a time i drove a friend up north to look at a house lot (mid-70s). by the time we got to Portland, ME, it was almost 8:30pm. we couldn't find an open food place at all. they turned the streetlights off at 9pm. it was SO weird

@redenigma There are plenty of night spots - clubs with bars serving hors d'oevres, etc., but yeah, late dining seems to be limited to Taco Bell Drive-Thru Fourth Meal.

Follow

@BlueStateBabe @redenigma or White Castle, Waffle House, Rally's, and Raising Cane's.

Whitey's & WH are usually 24, and Rally's and RC here in town are open til 11.
