Dune is a thing that I have loved since I was a teenager. I was a big fan of the novels. Iā€™ve discussed previously how I misread Paul as a teen and have seen him differently as an adult (Iā€™m evaluating Rand alā€™Thor right now and the Wheel of Time in general - suffice to say, so far I like Perrin the most due to various similarities). Iā€™ve not had to experience where something I loved greatly becoming something suddenly thrust into the mainstream before this.

@kismatt Perrinā€™s great. His belief about his anger and needing to be delicate around people, his low threshold for frustration, the fact that he and Faileā€™s relationship could be called ā€œbrat tamingā€¦ā€ Thereā€™s a lot about Perrin to like.

Also, the blacksmith thing and the hammer. I like those things. Wolves are also pretty great.

@kismatt OH, and beards.

I mean, I have a beard because of Will Riker, but Perrin isnā€™t entirely without blame.
