The bookshelf that I had where the new one is previously is probably over 20 years old and had been in that place probably for 15 years. It’s wild having something else there after having the other bookshelf there for so long.
It’s a great looking bookshelf, but there is a minor problem - it doesn’t have anything to keep the books from falling off the shelf, so I’m going to have to grab some bookends.
Lastly, even though it’s 6 shelves vs the old one having 4, I still don’t hand enough room…
@EnochianEntropy If you get the thin metal bookends, you can slide a hardcover over it to make it look like it's the book that's holding everything back

@kismatt Also: SG-1 is great. I love it when it starts to make fun of itself in the later seasons.
@EnochianEntropy When I was active in that fandom, I would go to Gatecon in Vancouver. I met all but RDA of the mains, a ton of the secondary character actors, and had dinner more than once with a few of the showrunners. ;)

@kismatt RDA is great, I love him, but honestly, the entire show is Shanks to me, especially when he goes meta in later seasons. I just love how the show starts to decompose in epic ways near the end.
@kismatt A lot of shade is thrown at the later seasons for not being as good - the storylines, etc.
But what I see when I watch it is the actors having a LOT OF FUN and it just DRIPS off the screen.
@EnochianEntropy I have an online friend group that gets together every few years for vacation (next year, a cruise!) because of that show. A few of the members are from Canada/Australia :D
