So, am I getting this right? I have to pay the HOA so they can send me threatening emails talking about 'hearings' and 'fines' and 'formal notice' regarding a fucking shrub that died in the recent heat?
And I have to pay them for this privilege? I'm not sure they know who they're dealing with here. 😡

I'm the current president of an HOA and I fucking hate HOAs.
@Ubiety @th3j35t3r lol. yeah, but as the PRESIDENT of one you can shut the busybodies down.
My idea of a subdivision HOA is one that does this:
- Manages trash pickup
- Maintains the entryway signs (if there are any)
- Notifies public utilities of issues (street light out, hydrant leaking, potholes, etc)
- Asks that people keep their yards tidy (just...put things away. Like the kid's toys) but doesn't fine them for non-compliance
- Organizes block parties.

(Not on the HOA thank GOD but I do have to interact with them and they're not all bad IMO)
