You can argue with the ranking, but there are some incredible albums in this list.
@Render Same 👍
And honestly I'd forgotten how many bands just used Rorschach tests for their logos back then 🤣
@Render @BillyBones i would be. Were you more 80's than 90's?
@Render @BillyBones I probably have about 40% of them
@killingfloorman
I have most of the top ten. It's an interesting list. @Render @BillyBones
@killingfloorman @Render @BillyBones
I have about 35% of those.
Shoot me if you will, but I never understood the attraction with Nirvana. There was something about it that did not resonate with me. ☺️
Oh, and the last hard rock concert I went to was Painkiller at the Hammersmith Odeon 😎
@Faay @killingfloorman @Render @BillyBones
Some of my favorite all time albums are on this list, but I have zero Pantera. 😁
@evamarie
I'm scared to admit which of bands on there that I can't listen to😅
We all love what we love and can't explain why.
@evamarie @Faay @Render @BillyBones pantera had their moments 🤟😎🎵🎙🎸
@Faay You get extra cool points just for going to gig(s) at the Hammy O. Legendary venue 🤘
@BillyBones @Faay @Render the Hammy O is great. I've seen many a show there. The only time I saw Jimmy Page was there.
@killingfloorman Who was he with??? @Faay @Render
@BillyBones @Faay @Render the Firm, so Paul Rodgers on vocals
@killingfloorman I'm jealous!
I think I told you, I saw PR at The Cavern in the late 90's. I was about 6' away from him, though he delayed his start by almost an hour to make sure there was no residual smoke in there. Surprisingly no-one complained, it was such a thrill to be in a (jam-packed) room of maybe 300 people max witnessing a legend up close.
But as for Page - I've never seen him live 😔
@BillyBones
Drove down from Rendlesham to Newbury Park station if memory serves me, caught the tubes, scalped tickets, walked down the street. We were in the 9th row and I eventually bullshit my way to the front row during the encore (silly American girl). Left hoarse and the tubes are scary late night 😂 🤘
One of my favorite accomplishments.
@killingfloorman @Render
@Faay That's even more impressive! 🤘 You didn't go over just for the gig, did you?
@BillyBones
I was stationed over there and my buddy and I found out JP was there and said fuck it, took a chance to get tickets I remember walking up to the door and they had a list of bad ticket #'s listed and we were worried we got screwed.
So yeah, JP and IM are my #1's
@killingfloorman
Sorry for hijacking your thread 🤗
@Faay You've been here as long as anyone! You know threads are organic 💜
(Sorry for answering for you @killingfloorman, lol) @Render
@BillyBones @Faay @Render everyone is always welcome to jump in. It's a conversation and it's one of the things that makes CoSo special. I love hearing everyone's stories
@killingfloorman 🤗 me too @BillyBones @Render
@BillyBones
So my bottom line. I heard Genocide when Unleashed in the East, Live in Japan came out and I was hooked. There was no turning back from that point. (Dating myself) 😅

@BillyBones @killingfloorman @Render @evamarie
So, who is your one regret on not being able to see?
Mine is Ozzy. Timing and location were never lined up.
@Faay @BillyBones @killingfloorman @Render
I regret never seeing Rage Against the Machine
@evamarie
Megadeth played Plymouth but I only had enough money for the album OR a ticket. I bought Rust in Peace. Then I found out who the support act was.
Pantera! Absolutely gutted!
Megadeth came back for Countdown to Extinction tour so I got to see them that time but Pantera never returned.
@stueytheround @evamarie @Faay @BillyBones @Render that's a tough one
@stueytheround @Faay @BillyBones @killingfloorman @Render
Ouch Stuey! That’s tough.
@evamarie @stueytheround @Faay @BillyBones @Render if anyone is new to CoSo and wants to see how different it is to the bird site, this thread will give you a ton of insight.
No abuse, no trolls, just fun chat.
@killingfloorman Excellent point. And people randomly jumping in with replies that add to the conversation 🍻
@BillyBones if it was over there, someone would have said:
'Hard rock albums, why do you hate rap, are you a racist?' And it would have gone to shit from there 🙃🤪🎸🎙🎵
@killingfloorman I was thinking that! Or "Hammersmith? That place was a dump. They were better when they played at x"
🤣
And Musk would have banned us all for going 20 posts without mentioning his name. It's now policy that you have to reference him every 3 tweets or you're out 🙃🤪
@evamarie @stueytheround @Faay @Render
@Faay @BillyBones @Render @evamarie i had front row seats for Ozzy's Diary of A Madman tour that was canceled because he was wasted. Randy died before it was rescheduled 🤯
I also had tix to see Nirvana at the Brixton Academy and Kurt did his thing...
2 big regrets
@killingfloorman @Faay @BillyBones @Render
Your regret beats my regret all day long.
@killingfloorman
Oh damn. That is harsh. Diary is still my fav Ozzy album.
@killingfloorman First time I saw Ozzy was with Jake, so I never go to see the Blizzard of Ozz lineup 😔
@BillyBones
I was watching old live Ozzy the other day and totally forgot Rudy Sarzo played with him (sorry Ren).
@killingfloorman @Render @evamarie
@Faay God, that's a great question and hopefully everyone answers.
I've been lucky enough to see just about all of my favourite bands, whether on their own or with loads of others at festivals. But since I only saw Bowie with Tin Machine in Liverpool and at the Freddie Tribute, I'd probably have to go with him.
@Faay @BillyBones @Render @evamarie unbelievably, I've never seen Springsteen live at his own show. I saw him on the Amnesty tour.
Still not quite sure how I've missed him.
@Faay
I never saw Dio. Always regretted that.
@mikeflstfi he was always good live. I saw him solo and with Sabbath.
@BillyBones
I remember that because Scott Travis was their new drummer, and he was using double bass drums... I was blown away. Plus Glenn Tipton *swoon*
@killingfloorman @BillyBones
You might be surprised at how few of those I own or owned.
