Patience.

Our rescue was a 4-month old stray when she was picked up. I’d say it was closer to a year before she was really accepting of and bonding with us. Just kept showing her all the love in the world and eventually she realized who we are.

She’s 4 yrs now, and I still see new little areas of acceptance and bonding showing through. Much different than our previous 3 who we raised from 8 weeks old. At that age it’s much, much easier to bond.
