After 6 hours of PowerPoint development, my brain is officially fried.
(I can't even type this toot)
And, its #nationalwineday.
Guess what I'm about to do?
I just listened to Alan Alda's pocast interviewing Eric Topol about the COVID pandemic.
Interesting research being done on Long COVID. He says that 10s of Millions of Americans are probably experiencing it.
Also, the virus often finds a long-term home in the upper respiratory locations.
I wonder if we will find that the body has learned to compartmentalize pockets of the virus in the nasal cavities and just a little bit escapes to cause a low-grade battle that causes long-COVID.
Great news!!!
The transfers were about to kill 100 residents at Laguna Honda.
"I am writing to share the very good news that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) agreed to our request to continue the pause of involuntary transfers of Laguna Honda residents until September 19, 2023. CMS also extended payments for the care of our residents through March 19, 2024." --Roland Pickens
New "product" idea: Drone Mine/metal detector. Attach a large metal detector onto a drone. Fly it in a pattern over the farms of Ukraine to find the mines. Target each detection with a more precise drone-detector system. Then de-mine those that are discovered. They could clear more fields faster and get their production back wherever they reclaimed land from the Russians.
I just paid for better service with #ChatGPT.
I'm using it 80% of my day.
It's like I've hired a developer. An average-skilled developer, but at least one that moves the project forward and doesn't complain.
You still have to know how to ask precise questions and review the logic of what it delivers. So, there is still some skill involved.
How sad.
So many hours listening to Gordon Lightfoot. So many happy memories.

This is my latest essay on Laguna Honda to try to stop the deadly transfer and relocation program: https://medium.com/@jurban1997/a-story-of-death-and-regulation-restarting-laguna-honda-discharges-af9737de5383
Wow, the late-night shows were executing a full-on, peg-the-needle gloat session last night.

I thought that this would be easy.
Ultimately, the parts were simple.
Finding the problems was not simple.
But, without Chat GPT I would NEVER have succeeded. There were just too many issues buried in error logs.
This will probably be my copilot moving forward. It's like a really experienced expert that lacks discernment. You have to put the guardrails on it to get what you want. That's going to be an important skill.
Big milestone tonight!
I've been trying to get a simple webpage to write to a database.
I wanted to use Docker Containers to manage all of the systems.
It took a week of collaborating with Chat GPT to work through the bugs. I just cleared the last test just now!
Chat GPT is incredibly useful, but it can lead you astray.
I often re-started the conversation to remove assumptions.
There is a lot of skill in asking the right question.
And proposing solutions to confirm or discount.
