Humanity has mostly been comprised of philistines for much of its history.

Primal interests.
Primal needs.
Survival-focused coupled with a rational mind.

Now that we are less concerned, day to day, about survival, some of humanity is less primal and driven by survival instincts.

This group tends to look forward. It projects the potential of humanity and desires to get there quickly.

But the philistines hold everyone back.

This situation has been improving all along, but slowly.

Whenever we use a word to label something, we define a scope / limit to what it is.
We don't always agree to what that scope or limit is.
This is a source of many frustrating arguments.

For instance, when does something deserve the label "Life"? What threshold is crossed? When does it pass back over that threshold, and is that always called "Death"?

We all think we know the answer, but this is at the root of much disgust and animosity in many cultures.

The first defense at avoiding frustration is to avoid putting yourself in the situation that can cause frustration.

The second defense, when you cannot avoid it, is to recognize that the situation is likely to become frustrating, so anticipate it and celebrate your foresight.

I just spent a chunk of my afternoon swearing at my car.
The bluetooth fails to connect so that I can play music.

What is at the root of my anger?

Helplessness?
Powerlessness?
Friction in my ability to drive safely?
Feeling like a sucker because I spent so much to have a nice vehicle that shouldn't have issues like this?

Why not just let it go?

The James Webb Space Telescope is travelling at 820 mph and is now over 77% of the way to its future home almost a million miles away.
Since its launch on Christmas it has just past 1/2 of the time it will take to complete insertion into the L2 orbit.

Do not confuse Righteousness with Goodness.

We have seen many people acting in a righteous manner that are not doing good things.

Start by asking "Is this something a good person would do?"

If you cannot see the color Blue,
Then you also cannot see Green nor Purple.

Those that can easily see Blue are perplexed by their arguments about color.

You cannot argue with a person that lacks a moral bearing. They cannot see what you see.
