The downside is that all evidence brought during this trial can be viewed by later defendants so that they can plan better arguments for their trials.

I'm attempting to navigate the challenges of launching a BIG IDEA.

If I succeed I'll build a worldwide, virtual railroad for robotic systems.

I'm clearly inexperienced at doing something this big.

I'm lobbying government officials to get traction with regulators.

WTF am I doing?

More coffee...

And it's not that expensive.

Unless you want to spend money on it, then it can be as expensive as you want.

Drink more champagne
(or prosecco or cava or whatever we call it in California).

It doesn't have to be a celebration.

It's like soda. But with more flavor.

I went to a community gathering to learn about and discuss a proposed project on the north side of San Francisco on the water.

What a fucking shit show.

Adults acting like petulant children.

It was embarrassing.

Spoke to a Wired reporter who happened to attend. She was there to write about the homeless. That topic never came up.

I was pretty pissed and screamed at a lady to shut up. I think the Wired photographer caught me in the act.

Oh fuck.

@Render
I think he was actually pushed out of the window before the plane crashed. 😉

Looks like I did enough for today.
I have a migraine and cannot see.

Goodnight!

@Spoonie_RayL
Well, I wouldn't go so far as to say "deathbed". But, it isn't a good trend to be on.
I don't think we're at the "survival of the fittest" point of chaos. We just don't prioritize collaboration and cooperation. This is probably because we raised too many citizens that lack empathy. They just can't understand the value of community beyond feeling empowered.

@tyghebright
The first step in solving a problem is to agree that there is a problem to be solved.
Then we have to decide if it is worth our limited time to try to solve.
I think this problem is at the core of many of society's failures. So, I think it is worth solving.

Insight after touring Amsterdam:
The American ideal of the resilient individual is, ultimately, a weak point for the culture.
While it is a simplistic ideal for an interesting, fictional story line, it is a liability for large-scale improvements to our society and governance.

@WeThePeople
This is such a weird form of tragedy.
I hope we evolve out of it someday.

Another beautiful view today in San Francisco.
No doom-loop happening here.

Back from Amsterdam.
This was one of my favorite photos from last night's canal tour.

Amsterdam canal tonight.
This is a marvelous city.
Highly recommend.
