"Authenticity" is a proxy for a lack of understanding of how "something" works. You rely upon the authority even if the authority also doesn't understand how "something" works.
"Model" = How things work.
Understanding the Model requires abstract thinking.
Most don't have that.

The Feeling of Authenticity…is not a feeling

But whatever we call it, the experience is one of relating to our feelings, including the difficult ones, in such a way that they don’t impede our ability to stay open and true to the situation—even when the situation sucks.

Interesting.
I was reacting to a pundit's perspective that people are relying upon authenticity to side with them regardless of the merits of their position. If true, it would be a fragile trend.

@jurban

Yes.

Authenticity is a terrible way to judge others positions.

"Feelings interfere with authenticity when we’re not quite aware of them, or when our awareness is habitually distorted."
