Today I am requesting the Committee on Foreign Investment — which reviews acquisitions of U.S. businesses by foreign buyers — to conduct an investigation into the national security implications of Saudi Arabia's purchase of Twitter.

I will keep saying this: CoSo is not Twitter. Your toots are not going to go viral. There is no algorithm pumping up controversial content. There are no trending hashtags. CoSo IS a Twitter alternative in that it’s a different form of social media where vitriolic bombast is more likely to get you blocked than it is to get you followers, regardless of whether or not someone agrees with your stance.

In many ways, it’s the opposite of Twitter rather than a replacement for Twitter.
