I will keep saying this: CoSo is not Twitter. Your toots are not going to go viral. There is no algorithm pumping up controversial content. There are no trending hashtags. This is your chance to change how you interact with people online. It's your chance to reclaim a humanity which social media giants seek to extirpate.

@Ostacia_Vye I was explaining to my bestie today. He asked "who are the major users". And I said, "Well, we don't have any. We don't have algorithms and trends. There *are* no major users. Everyone's voice is equal." He almost got it, but it was still difficult for him to comprehend. He's a wonderful guy whom I adore to death, but we've all been so conditioned to expect social media to be about clout and influence.
@LiberalLibrarian Other than a bit of confusion at first, I took to this out of the gate. It's like a tall glass of water, a cool breeze on a hot day, et cetera 😎 I'm no longer very confused, just a little, but it's fun to learn this new thing.

@djay7000 Consider this a throwback to the days of IRC and Yahoo Chat. Where you had to talk to people virtual face to virtual face, with no algorithms to boost topics.

@LiberalLibrarian thank you for highlighting this. I too have been so conditioned to the idea of "viral posts" though I don't consider myself as having a big ego and never went viral with my posts anyways. I appreciate The Jester for exactly this approach of building a non-ego based, friendly, and calmer platform. Long may it last 🙏🏼
