@Sr0bi I suspect that it is AI since it doesn't appear that way when I do an AI free (udm14.com) search.

@Sr0bi I thought the same. It's interesting that they don't show as ads. Might even be Google's frigging AI.

I was searching Google for 2020 state presidential. It's odd that Donald Trump was at the very top in multiple locations. It even included his website at the top of the side panel. Makes me wonder about Google searches.

I referred to myself as woken a long time before the current use of "woke". In my younger years, I was ignorant of a lot of things and believed in a lot of wrong things. Much of this was due to how I was raised. Once I "woke" to the incorrectness of a lot of my perspectives, I endeavored to become more informed. Consequences of becoming more informed (woke) was that I became more progressive and a better person. So I embrace "wokeness".

@MakerWerks I was on a cycling trip in 2020. I was shocked at and a bit scared of the people who cluttered their land with Trump signs. There were sometimes miles of Trump signs.

@MakerWerks That relates to my earlier post. In addition to exploiting fear of others and change, they manipulate people's lack of capacity, tendency or desire for details.

@mcfate Chronologically, I'm 63. it's difficult to pin down how I feel but it's much younger than I am.

I'm in the "old man" territory. As I age, I have actually become more socially aware and progressive. It's disheartening to see so many others in my age range who went the opposite way. They were more socially aware and progressive but became socially and politically regressive as they aged.

A couple of common themes which Republican politicians exploit are the fears of others and the fears of change. They don't want people looking at the actual details. They want people to just emotionally react to what is being said and vote accordingly.

I was thinking about how many Microsoft applications which I used that Microsoft abandoned. Some had no MS replacements. Those with replacements were too often inferior. I once used as many Microsoft apps as possible but now I only grudgingly use Windows but might even move away from that again. I found this list of Microsoft's discontinued products. It's both nostalgic and frustrating.

Being an old man who has become more progressive with age, I am saddened and frustrated by people who become more socially regressive as they age.

Project 2025 illustrates how we cannot afford any more Republican presidents, governors or majorities at either federal or state levels.
