I was riding the Hampton Beach area today. I hadn't been there during high tide so I was surprised at how high it was. There was a beach here when I rode it during my last visit.

Someone claimed that I was only concerned about trivial things when I described myself as a social progressive with environmental concerns. As I described the long term effects of social and environmental conditions, he claimed that all of that is trumped by the soul. That illustrates part of the great divide between those of us concerned with things in the knowable real world and those convinced in the unknowable and probably false fantasies of religion.

I am opposed to the Republican agendas regarding social, education, religion, health and the environment. Pretty much, I consider the Republican party to be the Regressive party.

A lot is discussed about the left - right divide. But I think it is more accurately defined as progressive - regressive.

I road the whole Rockingham Trail, which goes from the Manchester, NH area to the Portsmouth area. I think that it's about 50 miles each way.

I am so tired of right-wingers claiming that the left wants to take away freedoms when it's actually the religio-political stances of the right which is limiting the most freedoms.
