@LnzyHou Good morning, Sunshine!
@ByLeslieMonteiro The A’s attendance has been near the bottom of MLB for almost two decades. I don’t know what research has shown about the Vegas potential, but it’s hard to blame an owner for wanting more gate receipts. Maybe it’s his fault for not spending for better players, I don’t know. But it is what it is. And MLB expansion? Really? Too many teams already in a declining popularity sport, IMO. And too many games! Starting and ending in the cold is not what baseball was meant to be.
Jim Jordan accused the FBI of being weaponized against conservatives. Jerry Nadler accused Jordan of running interference for Trump. Nadler also mocked the idea that FBI led Christopher Wray was dedicated to bringing down the GOP on bogus charges.

@LnzyHou @th3j35t3r See what @Blast Bunny posted today and get really mad re HIPAA violations.
@BlastBunny It sure is a blatant violation.
Sen. Schumer should start scheduling confirmation hearings for individual military officers due for promotion, beginning, of course with the highest ranking officers. All day and all night, through weekends and vacations, to get around Tuberville’s hold on mass confirmations. The Senate would have no time to do anything else, forcing McConnell to do something about this jerk from Alabama.
@JLong That’s always been the hypocrisy. The rich and powerful who are ostensibly anti-abortion have always managed to get one for their family members. But even more than hypocrisy, they could now be committing crimes if they live in states that forbid traveling to an abortion state or helping someone to do so. If exposed, that could shine a light on the inequity.
In the states banning abortion after six weeks, it seems the only recourse for women will be to get pregnancy tests every week! Ovulation and missed periods are not precise enough events to be counted on. Contraceptives are not 100% foolproof. Of course, abstaining from sex - which has been suggested by anti-abortion legislators - would also work.
Would Trump’s lawyers have made the same case to delay - indefinitely! - the documents trial if he were polling down in the Nikki Haley range? Of course they would. In other words, just declare you’re running for president, and you can’t be prosecuted for federal crimes. Ah, but there’s a state (Georgia) case that Trump would have no power over, even if he wins the election. Sorry, Donald. The wheels of Justice grind ever so slowly, but they’re finally coming for you.
@JohnnyGenX Yup.
@JohnnyGenX He won’t win his case because, ironically, the defense will show video of him urging his fellow Trumpers to storm the Capitol. And because he didn’t participate in that invasion, he wasn’t arrested. Maybe he wishes now he had been charged?
@LadyZurk Maybe they’re losing membership. Don’t know that. But they head important House committees. Taking back the House is essential for keeping the fascists at bay. For now.
And we close out our #WriterWednesday blog crawl and demented diarists' disco with our credo: feed an author, leave a review.
@LadyZurk The Freedom Caucus has never cared for McCarthy, and MTG aligned herself with him. And I guess her set-to with Boebert recently was the last straw.
@BeckyWerner719 Thanks for sharing. Used to listen to his Sirius radio program but he had way too much ad time.
@arthurpendragon You’re fortunate to have such a place. In my case, there was only one in line ahead of me.
