We’ve just learned there has been two massive data breaches in Asheville healthcare. The VA hospital and our local Mission hospital where I’ve had multiple surgeries admit their data security is inadequate.

I can’t understand why these institutions are so cavalier about patient records. Surely technology has evolved enough to create secure barriers to our legally protected data.
