New printer!
My wonderful wife surprised me with a Bambu P1S yesterday. It's such a huge improvement over my old Frankenender.
It printed the best Benchy of my life with no fiddling, and in record time, too.
So then I printed a tiny Benchy to keep it company.

Smell really depends on the makeup of the filament. Most PLA and PETG filaments are relatively odorless, but ABS filament can make gross fumes which require ventilation.
@john_b @TrueBloodNet THere's also a Nylon Glass, something like that, you can print with but also requires ventilation. Kydex, I think its called.
I have a few friends that are deeply into 3d printing and they've spoken of it.
@NiveusLepus What does it cost to print things? I mean, I know it's size dependent but for most things you print?
@TrueBloodNet Pennies on the dollar to my understanding. One of my partners is a big 3d print fan, and a friend of mine in Seattle is building her own animatronics. A roll of filament runs between 12 and 40 bucks and it lasts a good while.
@NiveusLepus WOW! animatronics! I remember back in the day when they cost hundreds to do anything of any size.. and of course they cost 10s of thousands to buy the printers. LOL
@TrueBloodNet Everything is self built by her. She designed the pcb boards and has them printed, made her own controllers, wrote the code for their software, all of it. SHe did comission the "Feathers"

I think what you do is equally awe inspiring. I am not a marketing person and don't know the first thing about being an agent.

I don't agent any more as I'm retired and it was always my side hustle. LOL I was a research scientist except for the years in the military. :)

@TrueBloodNet She's got three printers in her workshop upstairs... It's a heck of an operation.
@john_b Ah. That makes sense. I didn't even realize there were different substrates but I can see how that makes sense.
This is the point where I feel old because it's the tech I was too old to get into when it came into being. LOL
