I continue to be pretty happy with my self-hosted SearXNG instance, which aggregates results from a bunch of engines (including Google and Bing, along with many many others). It's not blazing fast (running in a container on a single VPS and having to wait for its queries to come back from the other engines), but the results have been pretty high-quality, free of AI nonsense, and not dependent upon any single source.

I also really really really want https://stract.com to take off but all of my searches there have just returned garbage. Hopefully it will continue to improve... Because right now it's kind of unusable.
