I tried a slice of cheese atop my apple pie for the first time last night. If you've been sleeping on that configuration: WAKE UP. It slaps.

In the future I might follow @Graci 's lead and do cheese and ice cream, but I don't think I'll ever go back to apple pie without cheese.
