So... any VI admins have an alternative p2v tool they can recommend for converting physical Windows and Linux computers into vSphere virtual machines?
Asking for a friend who happens to be me.

@john_b think I still have their last release sitting around. Though the last p2v I had to do was scrapped after they realized the db could be restored to a new vm faster.
@pendrag yeah I realized that our backup solution should be able to help us out if we need to p2v. I hate doing those and prefer to build fresh VMs and not inherit broken old stuff wherever I been... But every now and then there's a situation where a p2v is our only timely option.
@john_b agreed, I have my manager and the department manager sign off that Infrastructure will not troubleshoot P2V servers after initial handover.
Hence the decisions to do new with file restores. 😈
I wonder if this is related to why #VMware vCenter Converter got pulled.
