When the Malheur Refuge takeover started in 2016, I only had about 400 followers on Twitter. One of my Tweets went viral, ended up on Stephen Colbert's show, and I gained 10,000 followers in about 24 hours. Good times.
True story, I met Gibson at a book reading at Black Oak Books in Berkeley in the mid 1980s.
I got so tongue-tied, I couldn't hold a conversation, which if you know me, is not a thing.
