I'd like to make Soimplified Mode my default mode in the COSO desktop web app. Is there a way to do this?

@jjGravitas If you are selecting Simplified Mode and it is not sticking you are you have some over-zealous adblocker extension or similar preventing COSO from setting the cookie so it can remember you want Simplified Mode.
Find out what that is, and whitelist https://counter.social - we don't run ads anyway.

@th3j35t3r It's not the ad blocker (it's been off for this site the entire time), but might be the norton antitracker extension (I don't think I can disable it for specific sites).
Do this for me. Try a different browser that you have never logged into COSO with.

I was using Chrome, now I am using Firefox. From here I am able to switch my theme to light theme, that works, & logged out & back in, light theme remained. That was true with Chrome, too.
But, when I selected the menu option Switch to Simplified Mode, it was slow redrawing the page, after which the posts did not load, only the endless spinning wheel & the little message that it was trying to load posts.
