@singlemaltgirl Of course! I usually get a box of assorted mostly-not-junk-food snacks from (from amazon... shame, I know) so it's things like crackers, cheese puffs, granola bars, fruit bars, pretzels, fruit leather, that kind of thing. I also use up the remains of our halloween candy stash. And then H20, and juice pouches/boxes. I try to have something for everyone - sweet, salty, healthy, not... :)

It's almost time! This year will be our 7th annual year setting out some snacks for our many delivery drivers - both regular and seasonal - for the holiday season. I'm starting to gather my supplies, I usually put it out on Black Friday and keep it up through the new year.

Here's last year's starting bin.

@runtime_err0r_z00 I'll expect that bread to come out of the oven with some liberty spikes and a safety pin or two.

@Journalgirl It is positively WILD over there right now. Like, Daniel Radcliff with guns glued to his hands in a bathrobe and character slippers wild.

@gayfrogart I used this:
holajalapeno.com/chocolate-chi

And similar to the author, I didn't have enough chocolate chips, so I cut up a few Dagoba chocolate bars instead. Then finished the cookies with a sprinkle of Maldon salt (because yum).

Apparently it's a baking kind of weekend.

Fresh out of the oven: mocha dark chocolate (with chili) cookies.

Realistically, I just want a go-to, quick rise recipe that I know like the back of my hand, so I can throw together fresh bread easily, and customize with things like rosemary from our garden, aromatics, that kind of thing. I'm overdue to have my own tried-and-true.

@ATXJane Hey, there's no time like the present to start a recipe with flour and water, destined for the bin. ;)

@Journalgirl AHHHH kitchen science is so cool.

Also: which hood were you in in SF? I'm in the Excelsior.

Test batch 1: overnight rise. absolute trash fire. into the bin.

Test batch 2: 2 hour rise. took 3 in our chilly house. made a couple of decent first loaves!

Test batch 3: currently rising.

I'm going to get this nailed down this weekend if it's the last thing I do.
