Cast on for my BFF's new #KnittedHat yesterday. Should be finished today, and then ready for blocking. After not picking up the sticks for several years, it's been nice to see how quickly I'm remembering that I'm actually a solidly decent #KnittingWitch - something I taught myself (thanks youtube!) 15 years ago just after my tiny human was born as a way to keep myself busy while I was nursing.
Took this quick snap before I blocked it - it's on the form drying now.

@Yarnchick Aren't they? She chose them, they match her hair and her glasses. Very excited to see them knitting up so quickly. I'll post the finished product once it's all blocked!

I love these quick projects. They feel so satisfying to go from cast on to cast off in just a couple of days. I've done larger pieces, but these are a great morale booster, especially with these short days and lots of darkness.

@Coffee_and_Salt I cast on around lunchtime yesterday, but thanks to the dark of the solstice I was in bed by 10:45pm, otherwise I might have been able to finish last night. :) Finishing it off this morning was a cozy way to spend the time with my coffee.
I just love this #DebbieBliss baby cashmerino, it knits up so beautifully (even before blocking).
